May 12th: Family Service
The title for this Sunday’s message is “Mother’s Make Great Servants” The passage of scripture is from Matthew 23:11.
May 14th:
Ø Tuesday night bible study is from 7:00-8:00 pm & potluck is at 6:30pm. We will be studying the first letter of John, chapter one “The testing of a true Christian.”
Ø Kidz Club is every Tuesday 7:00-8:00 with a meal served at 6:30. The kids are memorizing the books of the bible.
May 15th:
Youth M.A.S.H. BASH Wed. nights from 6-7:30pm.
Summer camp @ UCYC July 14th -19th. The cost per camper is $311 however; money from the serving events and scholarships may be available. A $50 deposit is required from each camper to reserve a spot. Please turn in your money by Wed 5/15 & make checks payable to SHCC.
May 17-18th:
There is a Promise Keeper event Fri. & Sat. at Grand Canyon University Area. This 2013 National Men’s Conference will have top Christian bands & speakers. Tickets are $49 in groups greater than 10 men.
May 18th:
Ø The youth from SHCC & LWC will be having a rummage sale on Sat. starting at 7:00am in the church parking lot to raise money for summer camp in July. Please let me know if you have items to donate or would like to support by setting up a table.
Ø Men’s bible study is next Saturday from 8:30–10am. Facilitator: Pastor Terry Baker.
May 19th:
SHCC family potluck at the Fairchild’s immediately after service. Deb & I will provide the main dish (Beef & barbeque chicken sandwiches) so you can bring your favorite side or dessert.
June 17th-21st
VBS will be in the evenings for one week starting June 17th Monday - Friday with exact times and this year’s theme to be announced soon. Please see Cindy, Lori or Deb if you are interested in helping with VBS this year.
