Homeless Bags:

Supplies for the homeless are available on the welcome table for members to keep in their car to give to those on the street that are in need. The bags contain toiletries, a food gift card, and socks.  

July 2011 

SHCC collected $2,240 as a love offering for the Southside Community COG in Joplin Missouri who were devastated by the recent tornado. The church matched that amount and added another $10 so we could round our donation to $4,500. The check was mailed to Joplin on Monday and the Pastor answered with heartfelt thanks for our generous donation. 

Since the people of Joplin lost most of their clothing, Sherlyn collected 500 lbs of clothing, jackets, and shoes  packaged them up and shipped them to Southside Community COG.”

August 2011

OCC Shoebox Ministry was introduced and boxes and items to fill the shoe boxes began being collected.

September 2011

The House of Refuge servant opportunity was a success with serving meal to approximately 40 men.

November 2011

Packing shoeboxes party is Monday, Nov 14th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Come join the fun!

December 2011

Angel tree ministry for the children and families of prisoners. A Christmas tree will be set up for church members to take at least 2 names and purchase gifts.
